Portal Party: Huge Success!

This was a triumph!
I’m making a note here:

65+ UIS students, faculty and staff and alumni sharing 17 Papa John’s Pizzas, 100 cupcakes, 2 projectors, 5 xboxes, a PS3, a Wii all in jubilant celebration of the long awaited release of Valve’s Portal 2.

You just keep on trying
’til you run out of cake

In spite of interspersed technical difficulties, it must be said that everything went quite well. Everyone was extremely understanding and the flexibility allowed everyone to participate in all of the events they were interested in. A gallery of the night’s shenanigans is posted below.

Now, these points of data
make a beautiful line.

Anyway this cake is great!
It’s so delicious and moist!

And we must thank Mary Sheila Tracy for baking 100 Portal themed cupcakes! There are more pics in the gallery, and I must say they tasted as amazing as they looked.

I’ve experiments to run.
There is research to be done.

After all finals are approaching and, regrettably, there is no degree earned for playing Portal… one can only dream.

But before I go I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this event successful!
